Punta Gorda, FL
I think it all started when I was a teenager in the mid-1970s. I was determined to see the World and struck out alone for Europe. My borrowed 35mm camera became more than my trusted companion; it helped to focus that adventure for me in ways that changed my life forever.
I went on to study film-making in San Francisco and later earned a B.A. degree in Photography from Brooks Institute of Photographic Arts & Science in Santa Barbara, CA. Soon after graduating, I spent a few years teaching Photography at Vanderbilt University in my hometown of Nashville, TN. After 20 years in California and a decade in the photography business, I moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico to explore more fine art photography opportunities.
I enjoyed twenty years in the high desert as a commercial freelance & fine art photographer. In 2012, I relocated to England, after a year, I returned to the US with a British fiance. We've now settled in the Gulf coast area of South Florida. However, the desert beckons, and we plan a return to the Southwest soon.
I welcome commercial photography projects of all kinds, as well as private and personal commissions. My fine art photographs have been privately collected for decades. Please contact me for special sizes or papers or for more information.
Studio hours by appointment only.
